FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for medical staff protection against infection from needles used for the patients suffering from blood-transferred infectious pathologies. A protective element comprises a first and second components jointed with a connection element in manufacturing and handling, and detached by removing said connection element in service. The first component is equipped with a tray. The second component comprises two first flanges and two second flanges. While in service, the tray and flanges crests are located in the relevant components and take the internal opposite sides of the protective element. While in service, the first and second components are jointed by a locking device and the relevant slots in the back of the protective element.
EFFECT: reliable protection against blood-transferred infection.
