FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is founded on obtaining of the initial organic solutions of fourvalent metal phosphates or pyrophosphates having the structures M(IV)[O2P(OH)2]2[O2PO(OH)] and M(IV)P2O7, whereat M(IV) is fourvalent metal and chosen from the Zr, Hf, Ti or their mixtures. The important feature of these solutions is that said compounds are formed during solvent evaporation. This feature allows easy including of the said compounds inside the membrane pores, to the polymer membranes and to the electrodes' boundaries. The compounds' particles have acid properties, high thermic stability insolubility in the water which may allow their using for enhancing the proton-exchange fuel cells ((PEMFC) effectiveness in temperature range 90-130°C. Unusual characteristics of the nonaqueous proton conductivity of the compounds M(IV)[O2P(OH)2]2[O2PO(OH)] open new prospects of their application in PEMFC at low relative moisture.
