FIELD: physics, radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of radio frequency processing and may be used for reduction of ratio of maximum power to mean power in case of signals transfer with modulation with orthogonal frequency-division of channels (MOFDC). Method for reduction of ratio of maximum power to mean power in MOFDC signal contains stages of modulation of subcarrier set by set of vectors for data symbols to form the first modulated signal, to limit value of the first modulated signal for generation of the first limited modulated signal, to demodulate the first limited signal for restoration of distorted input vectors of symbols, to limit distorted input vectors of symbols to values that exceed or are equal to minimum threshold value to form limited vectors of data symbols, to limit out-of-band spectral components so that they remain within the limits of previously defined mask, and to repeatedly modulate limited vectors of data symbols. Transmitting device comprises modulator for modulation of subcarriers set by set of vectors of data symbols to generate the first modulated signal, limiter for limitation of the first modulated signal value for formation of the first limited modulated signal, demodulator for demodulation of the first limited modulated signal to restore distorted input vectors of symbols, processor for limitation of distorted input vectors to values that exceed or are equal to minimum threshold value, for formation of limited vectors of data symbols, and for limitation of out-of-band spectral components, so that they remain within the limits of previously defined mask and additional modulator for repeated modulation of limited vectors of data symbols.

EFFECT: equalisation of signals and control of out-of-band spectral radiations.
