METHOD OF PROCESSING CLIPPING NOISE TO REDUCE PEAK FACTOR OFDM SIGNALS AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC H04L27/34 H04L27/26 H04L25/08

Abstract RU 2835883 C1

FIELD: wireless data transmission.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless data transmission and is used in transmitting devices of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in order to optimize the information transmission process. Method of processing clipping noise to reduce peak factor of OFDM signals additionally consists in the fact that frequency components from the output of the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) unit are supplied to the input of the clipping noise limiter unit, the spare subcarrier processing unit, the extreme subcarrier expansion unit for further processing, implementing three methods of reducing the peak factor of a signal: a clipping noise limitation method, method of reserved subcarriers and method of active expansion of constellation for generation of signal of OFDM signal peak suppression, respectively, sums signals at output of blocks of clipping noise limiter, processing of reserve subcarriers and expansion of extreme subcarriers and is supplied to unit of inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT).

EFFECT: high efficiency of reducing the peak factor of the OFDM signal with an acceptable level of distortion within the band, high efficiency of the system when the power amplifier operates near its saturation zone, reduced delay in signal processing and maintaining optimal computational complexity of the algorithm.
