SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for performing medical-diagnostic arthroscopy of knee joint in children of first months of life with meta-epiphyseal osteomyelitis complicated with paraarticular inflammatory process. Tourniquet is put on upper third of thigh. Inferior-lateral approach is used. Sharp-pointed trocar with diametre 2.4 mm is introduced through arthroscope tube which has diametre 2.7 mm. When joint capsule is reached trocar is replaced with blunt-pointed one. Trocar is introduced into joint cavity, purulent exudate is aspirated from joint cavity. Optics with 30-degree viewing angle is introduced into arthroscope tube and visual estimation of condition of sinovial membrane and cartilage cover of bones which form knee joint, as well as of its ligamentous apparatus is carried out. After optics is removed out of arthroscope tube, joint cavity is washed with aseptic solutions. Trocar is removed out of joint cavity and is introduced subcutaneously into cavity of purulent focus with formation of counterpuncture. Purulent content is removed, cavity is washed with aseptic solutions. Rubber drainage tube is installed, by means of which further sanation is performed during bandaging.

EFFECT: ensuring possibility to remove exudate with pathological admixtures fully without traumatising anatomical formations of joint cavity, ensure complete and controlled sanation of joint cavity, single-stage, mini-invasive sanation of paraarticular abscesses.
