FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical electrochemistry, precisely to methods of electrode production for electrolysis of alkaline solutions. Effective layer is applied over a nickel base by steeping the base once in solution containing mixture of nickel sulphate and ferric sulphate with total concentration 70-75 g/l at the ratio of nickel and ferrum 3-2.5:1 and 20-50 g/l of sodium hyposulphite, the process is carried out at 20-30°C within the interval of pH=3-5 during 8-21 hours.
EFFECT: simplification of electrode production process, avoidance of using deficit cobalt and increase of activator solution stability within saving high electrochemical activity and stability of electrode.
