FIELD: production processes.
SUBSTANCE: method of vapour drops deposition in cooling tower equipped by hot water supply pipe, irrigation system and reservoir provides the location of acoustic generators and truncated circular cone inside cooling tower in such a way that sound is reflected along the whole cooling tower volume. The sound is generated towards side surface of truncated circular cone. Being reflected from the side surface of truncated circular cone in the direction of cooling tower inner surface, the sound creates acoustic field in a form of standing waves in the volume of cooling tower inner cavity. Hot water is supplied to cooling tower to irrigation system for its cooling. Vapour drops moving upwards from irrigation system to cooling tower outlet get into acoustic field in a form of standing waves where they are coagulated and then after vapour coagulation they are disposed into reservoir by gravity.
EFFECT: increase of combined heat-and-power station efficiency factor at the expense of energy consumption for auxiliaries reduction and decrease of vapour discharge into atmosphere.
