FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power plant systems. During measurement there measured are pressure drops between each pair of side holes of multi-channel sensor, which are located in mutually perpendicular planes, and between pressure in central hole of sensor and static pressure at the velocity measuring point. By means of calibration relations there determined is velocity value and angles δ and φ of flow inleakage on the sensor. For obtaining calibration relations the sensor is turned in the plane at various δ angle and rotated about the axis within φ angle range of 0 to 360 degrees. At each constant position of φ angle there measured are pressure drops between each pair of side holes located in mutually perpendicular planes. There repeated are measuring cycles at other values of flow velocity and δ angle and there established is functional connection in the form of closed curves ΔP1-3=f(ΔP4-5) lying in four quadrants and obtained at constant flow velocity and δ=const, where ΔP1-3, ΔP4-5 - pressure drops between pairs of side holes of sensor, which are located in mutually perpendicular planes.
EFFECT: determining flow velocity as per one relation connecting velocity and angles of inleakage, and improving measuring accuracy in vortex flows.
