FIELD: physics; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy. The bipotentiostat contains a microcontroller, multiplexer, ADC, three DAC, two controlled switches, two instrumental amplifiers, two current-to-voltage converters, power amplifier, repeating amplifier, three inputs and an output. The first and second inputs of the bipotentiostat are connected to the instrumental amplifiers, as well as to the current-to-voltage converters through the switch. The third input of the bipotentiostat is connected to the repeating amplifier, the output of which is connected to inputs of the instrumental amplifiers. Signals from the outputs of the repeating amplifier, instrumental amplifiers and current-to-voltage converters are transmitted to the microcontroller through the multiplexer and the analogue-to-digital converter. The microcontroller controls two switches, multiplexer, as well as three digital-to-analogue converters. The first two digital-to-analogue converters are connected to current-to-voltage converters, and the third to the power amplifier, which is connected to the output of the device.
