FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental physics and electrochemistry, in particular, to the study of mass and charge transfer phenomena in chemical current sources, including lithium-ion accumulator batteries with a liquid and solid electrolyte. Proposed are a method and apparatus for measuring the diffusion coefficient and the relaxation time of the nonequilibrium concentration of ions in liquid and solid electrolytes by exciting oscillations in an electrochemical cell with the studied electrolyte by supplying a constant voltage proportional to the difference between the reference voltage and the potential at a certain point of the liquid or solid electrolyte from the output of the operational amplifier of the apparatus to the electrodes. The apparatus comprises a voltage feedback loop: PE-OU2-R2-OU1-UM-TE or current: TE-R1-OU3 R2-OU1-UM-TE, the depth whereof can be adjusted by the operational amplifiers included therein. The main increase in the accuracy is achieved due to the fact that the experimentally determined parameter is the frequency of self-oscillations, the measurement accuracy whereof is the higher the longer the duration of measurements.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and promptness of measurements due to the use of a smaller number of experimentally determined parameters, the measurement error wherein is small due to the physical nature thereof, as well as expansion of the area of application of the method due to solid electrolytes.
