SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for detecting underground reservoirs, as well as their nature. An electromagnetic field and seismic load are applied to the same point. Response signals are detected using corresponding receivers, located at a second point away from the first. From results of analysing the response seismic signal, the borders of the underground layer are determined. The position of the reservoir is determined from results of analysing the response signal of the electromagnetic wave field.
EFFECT: increased reliability and simplification of the method.
