SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for application in the field of feed production for pets. Method provides for production of form-stable fodder with low content of carbons. Feed composition with content of carbons in nitrogen-free extract less than around 19 wt % of dry weight, heated up to 70-100°C, is transported through extruder. At that high shift force is created in extruder head. Temperature of feed composition inside extruder is maintained within the range of 74-116°C. Extruded composition is cut into pieces of required size and dried.
EFFECT: production of form-stable feed, consumption of which makes it possible to monitor weight or, whenever required, to cause loss of pets weight.
