SUBSTANCE: extrusion head attached to or integrated into extruder comprises at least two enclosure portions through which enclosure composition to be extruded flows, enclosure composition flow regulator capable of restricting enclosure composition flow, core composition inlet branch pipe positioned downstream of enclosure composition flow regulator, with opening of said branch pipe being within enclosure composition flow and feeding said core composition into enclosure composition flow, with enclosure composition essentially or substantially surrounding core composition; discharging core composition embraced with enclosure from head opening. Method for preparing of double-texture feed involves preparing enclosure composition in container capable of being heated; preparing core composition containing at least 30 wt% of grain; mixing in mixer; feeding enclosure composition into extruder; feeding core composition into core inlet branch pipe for admission of core into extrusion head; directing core composition through said head; discharging product from extrusion head, said product being formed as core embraced by enclosure.
EFFECT: provision for producing of double-texture feed containing all nutrient substances of daily ration for pets.
