FIELD: technology of food products making; veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of dry mixture-base, moistening, extrusion of mixture-pet food base, drying, crushing of extruded mixture and pressurised molding of crushed mixture to give it coherent and solid shape. Pet food prepared by such method contains 50% mass of protein, fat of 16 mass, carbohydrates of at least 20% mass, moisture content being 5% to 11% mass.
EFFECT: invention allows for preparing pet food with high protein and fat content and low breaking property.
