SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Endoprosthesis consists of head and metal plug. Said plug is made with cone opening for neck and external thread. Head is made from metal in form of semi-sphere covered by method of pressing with 2-3 mm layer of high-pressure supermolecular polyethylene. In semi-sphere base threaded opening is made for screwing metal plug. External thread of metal plug is made on full length. Invention ensures increase of reliability of head fixation on endoprosthesis leg, technological compatibility of plug and unified endoprosthesis heads, increase of construction reliability, technological simplicity of head and adaptor (metal plug) producing, as well as of processing of surface layers of metal plug and head threaded surfaces, slowing down of cartilage wearing, accurate fixation of adaptor to head and adaptor to neck of endoprosthesis leg, accurate correction of operated limb length, low traumaticity of operation and universality of application of components produced by any manufactures.

EFFECT: increase of reliability of head fixation on endoprosthesis leg, ensuring technological compatibility of plug and unified endoprosthesis heads, increase of construction reliability.
