FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely to ophthalmology. After performance of a YAG-laser retinopuncture which is spent in 2 weeks after restrictive laser coagulation, the intravitreal tamponade of the detached retina is carried out by gas. For this purpose, the "port" 25 G in calibre is established in a scleral zone 4 mm from a limbus, and through it, with the help of a vitreotome, the channel in a vitreous in a direction to a back pole of an eye with an exit for a back hyaloid membrane is formed. The vitreous is removed step by step, each time in volume of 0.3 ml, replacing it with the same volume of a PFC gas. 2-5 such replacements are carried out, depending on length of an eye. The operation comes to the end with introduction of last portion of gas, then the patient is placed facedown for 1 day. The restrictive laser-coagulation round the retinopuncture aperture is spent in 3 days after gas introduction.
EFFECT: provision of retina adherence and stabilisation of visual functions at minimum traumatism of eye tissues, and also to reduce surgical intervention time, using local anaesthesia only.
