FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of liquids and gases from harmful impurities, including highly toxic compounds. The sorbent for purifying gases and liquids from harmful impurities is in form of granules, which are provided with a shell of textile (fabric or knitted) material with fleece. The elements of the fleece face outward and their length equals 0.4-1.5 mm. The shell can be made from sorption or ion-exchange textile material.
EFFECT: increased adsorption efficiency and reduction of adsorbent expenditure.
