FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of relative displacement in cutting zone, which results in creation of tool "trace" on processed surface of billet, creation of control signal on this basis, which is supplied for effect at cutter during high-precision processing of billet in thermoconstant conditions by "trace" from previous pass. Moreover, prior to final treatment of billet, previous pass by cutter is carried out with feed that is harmonically modulated by amplitude in the range from 0.05 to 0.15 mm/rotation with frequency of modulation that differs from resonant frequency of technological system idle state oscillations, for prepared stock surface averaged profile chart is defined for its roughness along billet length in direction of feed, or vibrorecord is determined for relative vibrations of cutter and stock in process of previous pass execution, and then final pass programmed in lathe system of coordinates is done by cutter following previous "trace" on stock in finishing modes of cutting with application of controlled inverted radial vibrations on cutter with delay of the latter by phase at the angle within the limits from to (-π) relative to "trace" on billet in cutting zone proportionally to value of averaged profile chart or vibrorecord amplitudes.
