FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: proposed turbine stator element comprises the circular main element with its inner surface representing a circle in axial cross section, and coat applied onto the main element inner surface. Aforesaid surface features edge surface, in contact with the said main element inner surface, and outer surface, opposite the said edge surface. In compliance with the first version, aforesaid coat features the thickness that varies depending upon circumferential position along the main element inner surface. In compliance with the other version, the coat outer surface represents an ellipse in axial cross section that features larger axis running between the main element upper and lower sections. The method of producing the turbine stator element comprises applying the coat onto the main element inner surface. In compliance with one version of proposed method, the applied coat thickness varies subject to circumferential position along the main element inner surface. In compliance with other version, the coat is thermally deposited, while outer surface forms an ellipse in axial cross section that features larger axis running between the main element upper and lower sections.
EFFECT: simple method of making irregular clearance between turbine rotor and stator.
