FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to vacuum engineering and processes related to utilisation of vacuum as process medium while cleaning surface of pipes and at applying protective coating onto surface of pipes of main lines. The method of protection of internal surface of metallic pipes of gas and oil main lines from hydrogen saturation is disclosed as follows: three movable partitions are arranged in a pipe of a pipeline; each of them is made in form of two metal disks with a deformed sealing ring between them, by means of which there are formed two adjacent working chambers inside the pipeline; also a plasma cleaning device is located in one of the working chambers, while a multi-component magnetron evaporator is installed into another working chamber. Further there is carried out sealing of the working chambers relative to the rest part of the pipe of the main; the chambers are vacuumised; upon this inside surface of the pipe is cleaned with the plasma cleaning device; the interior partition is set off thus changing volume of the working chambers to increase volume of the working chambers with the multi-component magnetron evaporator; protective coating is applied on cleaned inside surface of the main pipe; the partitions are moved to a new place and the cycle is repeated.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of protective coating of main pipelines.
