FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in measurement technology for measuring linear acceleration in inertial navigation systems. Increase in accuracy of measuring acceleration in a given range is achieved using a device based on a self-oscillatory accelerometre by reducing zero offset error through its measurement on a short range, which is a multiple of the given range, with subsequent direct compensation to the residual level, as well as by increasing stability of technical characteristics through simultaneous determination of conversion coefficient, zero offset and calibration characteristics through short-duration and single measurement of known acceleration values.

EFFECT: instead of six technical characteristics, calculated using existing methods (three of them instability), the invention allows for obtaining three at the same time: conversion coefficient, zero offset and relative error value.
