FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment for creating of vortex flow from dust-laden air drawn into vacuum cleaner, with the use of vortex flow centrifugal force for separating of dust and contaminants from dust-laden air.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cyclone casing equipped with air inlet channel and air outlet channel for creating of air vortex from dust-laden air drawn into air inlet channel, and guiding member arranged on side wall of air inlet channel of cyclone casing and equipped with guiding surface of predetermined curvature radius. Guiding surface is adapted for guiding of air drawn into air inlet channel to provide for stabilized directivity of air vortex. Dust collector detachably connected to cyclone casing is adapted for separating from vortex flow of dust-laden air and contaminants and for collecting of separated dust and contaminants. Grid unit disposed in the vicinity of air outlet channel is adapted for preventing countercurrent flow of dust and contaminants from penetration into air outlet channel of cyclone casing. Grid unit has first grid member equipped with support retained in air outlet channel of cyclone casing, second grid member equipped with grid part comprising plurality of small through openings in fluid communication with air outlet channel, and connecting member adapted for detachable connection of support with second grid member.

EFFECT: simplified maintenance and increased cleaning effectiveness of vacuum cleaner owing to increased stability and directivity of vortex flow created in dust catching apparatus of cyclone casing.
