FIELD: medicine; surgery.
SUBSTANCE: cortical plate is sawed along the front of lower jaw from the base of coronoid process to retromolar trigone. Then saw-cut extends along the external cortical plate vertically to the lower edge of jaw and rotates at right angle, spreads backwards and arcwise back-upwards, rotates downwards to form a bone shelf on the big fragment. The saw-cut extends at right angle to the back edge of jaw. It is directed upwards to the base of condylar process. The saw-cut tops at front and back edges of ramus bone are connected with a horizontal saw-cut along the internal cortical plate over inferior dental foramen. The big is moved front and downwards rolling the right angle of the small fragment behind the right angle of the bone shelf of the big fragment.
EFFECT: ramus body and bone elongation in infants.
