FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: device for production of hygroscopic submicron aerosol of alkali metal iodides is related to the field of physics of aero-dispersed systems, namely to devices for production of submicron aerosols of alkali metal iodides and may be used in systems of air conditioning and creation of healthy microclimate of premises, and also in medicine in treatment of diseases, for which inhalations of atmospheric air containing hygroscopic submicron aerosol of alkali metal iodides are necessary. Technical result is achieved by the fact that in device for production of hygroscopic submicron aerosol of alkali metal iodides in tubular channel of electric furnace coaxially to it heat-resistant cylindrical tube is installed with provision of annular gap with width from 1.5 to 3 mm between its external surface and internal surface of tubular channel. Chemically inertial reactor with evaporating iodide of alkali metal and support for it are installed inside heat-resistant cylindrical tube.

EFFECT: increase of reliability and electric and fire safety of device for production of hygroscopic submicron aerosol of metal iodides in atmospheric air for continuous period of operation (more than 1.5 year) due to elimination of vapors condensation effect from chemically inertial reactor on internal cylindrical surface of tubular channel and gradual plugging of its inlet-outlet by condensate of alkali metal iodide, and also due to simultaneous elimination of electric furnace overheating as a result of provision of continuous air flow with permanent rate in tubular channel due to elimination of effect of its plugging by condensate of iodides of potassium, sodium and/or their salt mixture.
