FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the inorganic chemistry and can be used at the preparation of high-basic aluminium polyhydroxochloride used as coagulant in pretreatment of the service and potable water, at paper and cardboard production as well as in the compounds used for production of special ceramic articles, medical preparations and perfume and cosmetic compositions. According to the invention the pellets of aluminium-containing alloy contact with water solution of low-basic aluminium polyhydroxochloride with concentration Al3+ being in the range from 7.0 to 9.0 wt % and pH 1.0-2.5 at the temperature 80-90°C up to achieving pH value in the solution 4.1-4.2. The resulting colloid solution contains up to 97.2% of the high-basic aluminium polyhydroxochloride with atomic ratio Cl-/Al3+=0.46÷0.52 and aluminium content 11.8-12.8 wt %.
EFFECT: obtaining of high-quality product which is particularly significant in its technical and medical applications.
