FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recovery of elements from initial ore, melting, treatment and heating of ferroalloy in furnace, its tapping to ladle, and pouring of ferroalloy into moulds. Prior to tapping of ferroalloy from furnace, ladle is heated up to 600°-900°C, and solid dephosphorator is loaded to it. The above dephosphorator contains a complex of components which during heating and interaction with ferroalloy provide the removal from it of phosphorus in the form of oxide slag compounds and gaseous compounds of phosphorus with fluorine at treatment immediately in pouring ladle.
EFFECT: invention allows melting and subjecting to out-of-furnace treatment together with ferromanganese, silicomanganese and ferrochrome various types of cast irons, for example high-strength, malleable, gray cast irons, open-hearth pig irons, foundry manganese and chrome cast irons.
