FIELD: geodesy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geodesy, particularly, to devices designed to test geodetic instruments and measuring systems. The proposed universal bench represents, structurally, three functionally integrated units mounted on separate isolated foundations. Checks are carried out in compliance with circuitry separately for every unit. Fixed and random components of the unit range finder error are determined from the results of measurements. Fixed and random components of the unit horizontal range circle error are separated. Fixed and random components of the unit vertical range circle error are separated. To measure disallowances, the error is computed as the difference between readings of the instrument tested and electronic counter of the transducer taking into account revealed corrections.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements, expanded measurement range and performances.
