SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metrology, in particular to devices for calibration of mobile coordinate measuring devices (MCMD): laser trackers, scanners, self-guided electronic tacheometers, etc. Method of calibration of mobile 3D-coordinate measuring devices consists in creating a reference system of 3D coordinates, integrated with calibrated MCMD, in which calibration of three spherical (radius vector, horizontal and vertical angles) and rectangular X, Y, Z coordinates in an unlimited number of monitored points of a measurement space declared by the manufacturer is performed from one installation of the calibrated MCMD (with preservation of the single metrological base). Device structurally represents four functionally combined comparator arranged on separate isolated foundations: a linear comparator with a reference rod and a laser interferometer, axes of which are aligned with the axis of the calibrated measurement device, an angular horizontal comparator, a linear vertical comparator and a spatial linear-angular comparator. Calibration of spherical coordinates (length of radius vector, horizontal and vertical angles), as well as rectangular coordinates X, Y, Z is carried out from one installation of calibrated coordinate measuring device.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements by creating a single coordinate system, providing a single metrological base when calibrating all metrological parameters of the calibrated measurement device, wider range of measurements and functional capabilities.
