FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: electroretinography is carried out with defined amplitude of one or more rhythmic electroretinogram wave-components with successive registration of retina response on light flickers with frequency 8, 10, 12, 24, 30 Hz. Retina response is recorded in scotopic and photopic conditions. Deviation of amplitude value of rhythmic electroretinogram (RERG) at one or several frequencies of light flickers by 25% or more indicates impaired function of the retina in scotopic and photopic systems, respectively. Deviation of the amplitude values of rhythmic electroretinogram on light fickers with frequency 8, 10 Hz indicates impaired function of rod and/or conicus photoreceptors of the retina. Deviation of amplitude values of rhythmic electroretinogram on light flickers in the 12, 24 Hz spectrum indicates impaired function of rod and bipolar cells.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining new data on involvement of scotopic and photopic systems in pathologic process and on vertical topography of functional impairments.
