FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. A conjunctival incision is performed, the rectus muscle is isolated, its separation is carried out, the muscles are stratified into three parts. The middle longitudinal part of the separated muscle is sutured 4-7 mm from the muscle attachment point, and a scleral suture 0.5-2 mm in front of the muscle is applied with the same needle and thread. The stitched section of the muscle is pulled by the thread anteriorly, to the place of muscle attachment, while forming two lateral muscle folds, and the threads are fixed with knots. Next, the middle longitudinal part of the separated muscle is stitched with the same thread 3-4 mm distal from the previous site of muscle suturing and the thread is fastened episclerally 2-3 mm in front of the previous muscle attachment site. After that, the newly sewn section of the muscle is pulled up by the thread anteriorly, to the place of the last attachment of the muscle.
EFFECT: allows preventing the likelihood of a hypoeffect in the early postoperative period, with the ability to eliminate it when manifested, by creating two places of muscle fixation and two muscle nodes.
