FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: inventions are related to metallurgy and machine-building industries and can be used for receiving of chemically pure zinc from hard zinc, which is one of two main wastes of metal production galvanising, with following return of zinc into main manufacturing production. Loading of hard zinc into furnace is implemented in three stages so that mass of loaded hard zinc at the second stage is 45-55%, and at third stage - 65-70% of hard zinc mass, loaded primarily. Melt isolation is implemented at temperature 590-610°C during 4.5-5.5 hours - at the first stage, 1.5-2.5 hours - at the second stage and 2.5-3.5 hours - at the third stage. Discharge of zinc melt into reciving casting moulds is implemented double - on the end of the second and the third stages, herewith before zinc discharging formed on melt surface in furnace-bath hard zinc is deposited on the bottom, and zinc oxide is removed from the surface of melt. Method is implemented in furnace, differential characteristics of which are definite particular location of gas-flame devices and chimneys by height and width of bath, and also presence of additional heat insulating detachable cap and discharge channel with choke, located in bottom part of furnace-bath.

EFFECT: increasing of purity and amount of zinc, molten from hard zinc, increase in productivity of unit and power inputs reduction for melting.
