FIELD: hot-dip galvanizing waste refining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the refining of hot-dip galvanizing waste, in particular to the refining of hardzinc from iron and aluminum impurities. A refining agent, aluminum, is introduced into the hardzinc melt in batches in the form of scraps of silumin with a silicon content of 7-12%, taken in a silumin/iron ratio of 1.3-1.4:1, at a temperature of the beginning of silumin crystallization of 566-577°C. First, 60% of the calculated amount of silumin scrap is introduced into the melt, and then the remaining 40% of the calculated amount, after which the melt temperature is reduced.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the productivity of the refining process while reducing the residual iron content in zinc to less than 0.01%.
