FIELD: railroad transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway line designs and can be used in construction and repair of railway, metro, tramway and the like lines with a good few turns. Proposed railway comprises two guide tracks formed by rails jointed together with clearance there between and, at least, one section with axial line making a portion of smooth curve. Angles formed by tangent line to axial line at the point the former crosses the plane wherein end faces of outer guide track rails and its projection onto on the plane are smaller than the angles formed by tangent line to axial line at the point the ends of inner guide track rails are located. Method of operation of proposed railway comprises running the trains at the speed at which the train center of gravity shifts outward from the outer guide track.

EFFECT: higher speed and safety, reduced radius of turn curvature.
