FIELD: water supply engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns water supply engineering. Method involves formation of regulated water flows in inlet head of fish bypass dependent on water pressure at inlet splitter walls of the fish bypass and on the kind of fish attracted to the bypass. Water flows are generated in inlet chamber of the fish bypass - inlet head of the bypass - by feeding water to jet-forming nozzles along the perimetre of fish bypass inlet holes or directly in fish bypass holes, or in autonomous channels in the inlet splitter wall, and oriented towards head pool. Then a number of rows of submerged parallel hydraulic jets is created parallel or at an angle against the axis of inlet hole, so that the jets can be preliminarily twisted, and joint action of the jet rows generates hydraulic resistance to the main flow - a zone of partially equal pressures, spreading along the fish bypass route though bypass from head pool, thus creating favourable conditions for fish attraction and bypass through inlet holes towards head pool.
EFFECT: efficient and immediate attraction of fish with differing swimming performance through different inlet holes in inlet splitter wall of fish bypass; rheoreaction limits and drifting jump speed are taken into account together due to simultaneous generation of different hydraulic resistance in given fish bypass holes to the main flow passing by fish bypass route though the bypass from head pool, by changing initial flow rates of hydraulic jets from nozzles mounted along the perimetre of bypass inlet holes and attracting flows obtained at the same time from given bypass holes of fish bypass inlet chamber - inlet head of fish bypass, at different speeds.
