FIELD: water supply engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns water supply construction. Method consists in creating safe conditions for fish departure from dam vicinity to safe habitation pool when fish enters head pool from fish bypass facility. A route independent from operation modes of spillway dam and water line variations at head pool of waterworks facility is created at the head pool section from outlet head of fish bypass facility to a safe location in the fish habitation pond to discharge fish leaving bypass facility keeping fish from sliding over spillway dam back to tail pool of waterworks facility. Hydraulic conditions of the route differ from hydraulic environment in the head pool area adjoining dam due to dependence of water flow rate in the route solely on the value of incoming flow rate at the outlet of fish bypass facility, and due to conditions facilitating soonest orientation recovery and adaptation to head pool environment, thus urging fish to depart from outlet head of fish bypass facility to the safe area of habitation pond on their own.
EFFECT: maintenance of conditions for independent and free departure of fish away from fish bypass facility.
