FIELD: hydraulic structures, particularly fish passes adapted for passing brood fishes through support structures to spawning and growth areas.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming fish-attractive tail at hydraulic structure inlet by opening supply block to predetermined degree; supplying main attractive flow through the full depth of fish pass flow; supplying additional attractive flow from manifolds to water surface and in surface layer of the flow; preliminarily accumulating fish at fish pass inlet; additionally attracting fish from water discharge front of hydraulic unit by rotating manifolds about vertical axis and installing thereof at 90° to longitudinal axis of fish pass; rotating manifolds by drives to fish pass inlet at the end of fish-attraction operation along with reducing manifold lengths and fish-attracting tail width; leading fish attracted by additional attractive flow to area of main attractive flow influence; stopping supply of additional attractive flow on completion of above process; accumulating all fish at fish pass inlet in area of main attractive flow influence.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of fish attraction from water passage having large width.
