FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport mechanical engineering and relates to structure of sound attenuating devices of internal combustion engine discharge. Muffler contains case with exhaust branches. In branches on horizontal axis of rotation there are installed leaves, which forms with walls of exhaust branches convergence angle not more than 25°. Under axis of leaves there are installed pressure breakdown labyrinths. Muffler is outfitted by reversing arrangements, each of which contains cylinder, in which there are installed compression spring with rod and resilient damper. At the end of rod it is located controlling point. Rigidity of resilient damper excess rigidity of compression spring. Reversing arrangements is connected to leaf by means of differ-armed lever, articulated rod and cantilevered plank. Rotation angle of differ-armed lever from initial up to final position not more than 17°. Rotation angle of articulated rod from initial up to final position not more than 12°. Muffler is outfitted by pressure breakdown labyrinth in form of L-shaped sheet, which are fixed to exhaust branches, and flat sheets, which are fixed to leaves. Each flat sheet is located between L-shaped sheet and exhaust branch with gaps, required for free movement of leaf.
EFFECT: such implementation improves reliability and resource of muffler.
