FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Surgical cutting and stapling instruments comprise an end effector comprising a moveable firing member, an electric motor with a plurality of windings for actuating the firing member and a control circuit, which comprises: a power source, a charge accumulator device and control means. Control means provides in the first case connection of the electric motor to the power source for supplying power to the motor from the power source. In the second case, the control means ensure that the electric motor is connected to the power source for supplying power to the motor from the power source and simultaneous connection of charge accumulator device to the power source not in series with the motor for charging the charge accumulator device. In the third case, the control means provide series connection of the charge accumulator device to the power source for supplying power to the electric motor from the power source and the charge accumulator device.
EFFECT: surgical cutting and stapling tool is proposed.
