DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR MUCOCILIARY INSUFFICIENCY Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B5/91

Abstract RU 2364332 C1

FIELD: medicine; pulmonology.

SUBSTANCE: spirography diagnostics of mucociliary insufficiency is ensured by determination of forced expiratory volume for the first second (FEV1), % of a reference. The technique also involves determination of instantaneous volume rate of forced expiratory at 25%, 50%, 75% of forced lung capacity (IVR25, IVR50, IVR75), % of a reference. Then discriminant is calculated: D=0.605×FEV1-0.001×IVR25+0.470×IVR50+0.113×IVR75, and if D is less than 69.01, mucociliary insufficiency is diagnosed.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics in patients with respiratory illnesses.
