SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the risk of developing small airway (SA) dysfunction in patients with bronchial asthma (BA) already in the early stages of the disease. The patient's age, body mass index, ACQ-5 test result in points, reflecting the severity of asthma symptoms, the level of FEV1/FVC is determined - a functional indicator characterizing the presence of bronchial obstruction. Then, the estimated risk coefficient (R) is determined, by the value of which the degree of risk of developing SA dysfunction is judged. The coefficient is calculated according to the original calculation formula. When R value <112 c.u. the degree of risk of developing SA dysfunction is assessed as low, with a value of R≥112 c.u. the presence of SA dysfunction is established, as is the possibility of its further development.

EFFECT: method provides ability to most accurately and promptly determine degree of risk of developing dysfunction of small airways in patients and timely prevent exacerbation of the disease.
