SUBSTANCE: method includes spirography used for pregnant women. Within unapproachable period women are examined for pulmonary ventilation, and then newborn state is forecasted by discriminant equation D=+5.897xFEVl (forced expiration volume within 1st second, l)-9.566xFLC (forced lung capacity, l) -4.137xIVV25 (instantaneous volume velocity of forced expiration on level 25% of lung capacity, l/sec)+3.582xIVV50 (instantaneous volume velocity of forced expiration on level 50% of lung capacity, l/sec) -7,630xIVV75 (instantaneous volume velocity of forced expiration on level 75% of lung capacity, l/sec) -0.070xIVVpeak (peak instantaneous volume expiration velocity, l/sec)+8.413xLC (lung capacity, l)+0.301xTI (Tiffneau's index, %) -0.71xAVV25-75 (average volume velocity of forced expiration on level 25-75% of lung capacity, l/s), where D is discriminant function with limit value 14.97. If D is equal or more than limit value newborn state is forecasted to be satisfactory, if D is lower than limit value there is neonatal asphyxia forecasted.

EFFECT: method provides forecast of newborn state for first minutes of life and enables to perform complex of measures to improve fetus and newborn state during pregnancy period.
