FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: multispiral computed tomography with tomographic image thickness 0.5-1 mm is conducted in face-down position on a support not leaning on breast. Multiplanar and three-dimensional reconstruction tomosyntheses are rendered. If defect of an implant wall and conglomerates are observed in beast tissues of density 80-120 Hounsfield Units, implant wall rupture and silicone spillover is concluded.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of early diagnostics of breast implant rupture, distinguished localisation of implant ruptures of small size, less than 1 cm, detection of breast implant rupture combined with edema and apparent cicatricial changes, differentiation of liquid and silicone deposition surrounding the implant, improved visualisation of the implant and correct assessment of all structural elements of breast, detection of silicone conglomerates in implant rupture in retromammary breast.
