FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to determine the vertebrae displacement and to detect the instability of the spinal motion segment (SMS) in the cervical spine (CS). Multispiral computed tomography (MSCT) of SC is performed in the bulk mode with a cut thickness of 1 mm in the axial projection. For this, the patient is laid on the scanner table on the back, a lining with the wide base directed towards the body of the C7 vertebra is installed at the level of the Th1 vertebra body under the patient's back, so that the SC is in the maximum extension position. The patient provides the flexion movement in the CS for 8 seconds. Scanning is performed during patient's motion, after which multiplanar and three-dimensional reconstructions are plotted. When a pathological displacement of the vertebrae relative to each other by more than 2 mm is visualized in the anteroposterior direction, SC SMS instability is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows to determine the violation of articulating structures interrelation making up the spinal motion segment of the cervical spine during the functional test, optimizing the diagnosis of this pathology.
