FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to ophthalmosurgery. An intraocular lens (IOL) comprises an optical and support part. The front surface of the optical part represents a surface segment derived from rotation of Cartesian oval 4th order around the symmetry axis aligned with the IOL optical axis. The optical centre of the front surface is aligned with the IOL symmetry centre. The back surface of the optical part is bent. The support part represents a flat disk.
EFFECT: invention provides reduced spherical aberration of IOL-eye system.
