FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to ophthalmosurgery. An intraocular lens (IOL) comprises an optical and support part. The front surface of the optical part represents a segment of surface derived from rotation of 4th order Cartesian oval around the symmetry axis aligned with the IOL optical axis. The optical centre of the front surface is aligned with the IOL symmetry centre. The back surface of the optical part is flat. The support part comprises a flat disk.
EFFECT: invention provides reduction of IOL-eye system through spherical aberration.
