SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal pressure working and is to be implemented for fabrication of ring-shaped items by way of die forging. The ring-shaped blank undergoes plastic deformation while cold, being treated with a deforming tool. The deforming tool is represented by two dies. The dies' effective surfaces are identically rough. At least one of the dies is designed to have a conic effective surface. Plastic deformation is due to the ring-shaped blank presetting with one of the dies statically loaded. Then follows the blank outsetting with the blank expansion provided for. One of the dies is transferred translational and oscillatory motion to from independent drives. The expansion completed, the blank may undergo outer diametre calibration.

EFFECT: greater ease of the items manufacture combined with reduced metal consumption.
