FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to mandrelling. Mandrel is displaced by static pulse load to expand spline grooves of spline bores by mandrel forming elements. Static pulse load is generated by static load hydraulic cylinder and intermittent pulse load cylinder. Said intermittent pulse load cylinder reciprocates on said static load hydraulic cylinder rod and comprises waveguide and hammer composed of sleeves displacing on said rod. Mandrel comprises body fixed at static load cylinder rod, cone arranged at static load cylinder rod to reciprocate thereon driven by wave guide, and helical compression spring arranged at said rob between body and cone. Forming elements are composed of rolls, their width being equal to that of spline bore groove, and located in the body radial grooves for radial reciprocating rolling in motion of the cone relative to body.

EFFECT: expanded machining performances, increased depth of hardened layer and decreased roughness.
