SUBSTANCE: invention can be used, mainly in compressor engineering. Piston-cylinder unit with axle drive contains cylinder (2), piston (3), installed with ability of reciprocating motion in the direction of cylinder axis (2) between the first position of piston, in which volume (18) in cylinder, contained between cylinder (2) and piston (3), is maximal, and the second position of piston, in which this volume of cylinder is minimal. Between piston (3) and cylinder (2) it is provided support, formed by actuating medium, by means of which piston (3) bears in cylinder (2) with ability of axial movement and which defines bearing surface (38) of piston, enveloping piston (3) by its circumference at least on part of longitudinal length of piston (3). Driving element (50) is implemented with ability of reciprocating motion in the direction of cylinder axis or in essence parallel to it. It is mechanically connected to piston (3) through piston rod (4). Piston rod (4) is implemented so that it allows presence of radial shear or angular displacement between axis (X) of cylinder and longitudinal axis (Y), defining driving direction of driving element (50), and compensates this displacement or this shift. Piston rod (4) allows the first pivot-hinged section (40) from the side of drive and the second pivot-hinged section (42) from the side of piston. The second pivot-hinged section (42) from the side of piston is provided in inner, trailing part of piston (3), opposite to bottom (16) of piston.

EFFECT: it is provided steady position of piston in cylinder.
