FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measurement equipment and can be used to control position of oil-water contact (22) (OWC) between continuous oil solution (2o) over continuous aqueous solution (2w) inside of casing pipe (7). Said unit contains transmitter (5) used to generate electromagnetic signal (St) and power-supplied from voltage signal generator (G). Transmitter (5) is immersed in continuous oil solution (2o), over oil-water contact (22), being in-built in casing pipe (7). The electromagnetic wave signal (ST) is propagates partially downwards from transmitter (5) and reflected partially from the oil-water contact (22) and from casing pipe (7) end, thereby intensifying the upward propagation of the reflected electromagnetic signal (SR). The reflected electromagnetic signal (SR) detector (6), also arranged over oil-water contact (22), generates detector signal (RR) for a detector signal (RR) receiver (60) and further to a detector signal (RR) analyser (61) evaluating the detector signal (RR), e.g. with respect to reciprocal propagation time or amplitude to calculate build-up for oil-water contact (22). The specified unit implement the relevant measurement method.
EFFECT: possibility to control depth to the oil-water contact within working area, inside of the casing pipe or a screen through working area.
