FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: application: in the field of metering equipment. According to method, electromagnet waves are excited in wave guide with terminal sensitive element that contains controlled liquid, reflected waves are received, and their capacity is measured relative to power of falling waves, and oil temperature is also measured. Besides, excited electromagnet waves are modulated by frequency in fixed range of frequencies, previously combination of extremum values is detected for relative capacity of reflected waves and its appropriate frequency at specified discrete values of moisture content and salt content of oil at normal temperature value, extremum value is measured for relative power and frequency of controlled oil, these values are compared for measured temperature with similar values from specified combination for normal temperature, moisture content and salt content of oil are interpolated to their neighbouring discrete values, temperature correction is introduced into results of this interpolation, and produced results are used to make a decision on moisture content and salt content of oil. Values of frequencies excited in wave guide of electromagnet waves is selected within the range of 1÷3 GHz.
EFFECT: improved accuracy and expansion of functional resources.
